About the Museum
What is handcrafted with care in Kreuzberg today has its origins in 1831. The Berlin medical councillor Dr. med. Carl Mampe developed a stomach bitters in Stargard, Pomerania, as a medicinal approach against cholera. As early as 1851, Mampe moved to Berlin, where the brand became an integral part of the city.
The exhibition brings together numerous objects and tells of new beginnings, change, and the close connection to the city of Berlin. Past, present, and future of the brand converge here β discover history, and taste it too.
